The Federal High Court’s 15th Criminal Bench released seven tax officials on Monday, November 2, 2013, after prosecutors from the Federal Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (FEACC) dropped all charges against the defendants.

Ethiopian authorities have carried out another wave of arrests that brings the number of people detained on suspicions of corruption to more than 50.

Ethiopia and South Korea signed an agreement to avoid double taxation on the 5th of December in Addis Ababa.  The agreement is planned to promote investment opportunity and enhance economic development it was said.

Ethiopia has signed double taxation avoidance pacts with four countries, including its growing trading partners India and China.
