The tax on gas has to go up 75% and the tax on electricity should be cut, to encourage more people to give up gas, according to one of the groups looking at ways to reach new climate change targets in the Netherlands.

Dutch lawmakers grilled Prime Minister Mark Rutte Wednesday after government published sensitive documents about its controversial plan to scrap dividend tax for companies, which will reportedly cost the country 1.4 billion euros.

The Dutch Finance Ministry said on Monday a review of tax deals offered to international companies found 72 mistakes, including five cases in which decisions were either wrong or likely wrong, and tax policies should be revised “in some ways”.

The national tax office in the Netherlands said its website briefly went offline on Monday due to a DDoS cyber attack, after the country’s largest banks were targeted.
