Ukrainian MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction, Robert Gorvat, says the parliament’s tax and customs policy committee has prepared a bill to introduce the “old age” tax related to the used cars imports.

Ukrainian major taxpayers in the first quarter of 2018 (Q1) declared Hr 20.1 billion, or US$770.7 million, in corporate profit tax, which accounted for 81.4 percent of Ukraine’s declared taxes.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is to deliver a diplomatic note to Ukraine with additional information about Estonia’s tax system and a call for the Ukrainian government to remove Estonia from its list of countries with a low tax rate, or so-called tax havens, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Mikser said on Tuesday.

A small Ukrainian tax-software company is facing possible charges because of its alleged connection with last week’s major cyberattack that brought down computer systems worldwide, while the firm says it is innocent.

Ukraine has entered the top 25 countries with the highest tax rates, as stated in the Global Competitiveness Report released by the World Economic Forum.
